Two Championships Best times were set by our Athletes over the w/end at the Leinster Championships, with Ellie O’ Toole setting the track alight crossing the line in 57.97 in the girls U/17 400m just above the qualifying time for the European juniors, (ELLIE HAS ALSO BEEN SELECTED TO REPRESENT IRELAND AT THE SCHOOLS INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SCOTLAND ON 18th OF JULY ) more to come for this athlete. The boys U/17 relay team of Luke Morris, Kevin Kyne, Mark Glynn, and Tom Cole also blazed around the tartan setting C:B of 45.4 in the 4x100m. This was the icing on the cake following other gold medal performances at the venue with Nikki O’ Neill Gold in the U/15 Javelin, Luke Morris Gold in U/17 100m, and Silver 200m, Mark Glynn Silver and a P:B of 53.3 in U/17 400m, Jack McWey Silver in U/16 Javelin, Omasan Ayavoro Silver in U/14 200m, Bronze Medals went to Kevin Kyne U/17 100m, Mark Freeman U/16 Javelin. Aimee McGrath, Ellie O’ Toole, Mark Glynn, Kevin Kyne ,were member of the victories County Teams winning Gold in the Girls U/17 and Boys U/17 4×100 relays, more performances of note were had by Molly Aspell, Leah O’ Shea, Grace O’ Toole and Dion Whelan Moor setting P:B in their various events but finishing out of medal table.
