Where does Newbridge Athletic Club train?

Training for Newbridge AC takes place at the track beside St Conleth’s Community College on Station Road (W12 C432). (We are opposite the Sports Centre. Our entrance is beside Newbridge Medical and Dental Centre). You can keep up to date by following us on our Newbridge AC Facebook Page.

What nights is Newbridge Athletic Club training on?

Our senior groups train weekly on a Wednesday at 18:30. Many smaller groups also meet up during the week to arrange runs.  You could pop down before the session starts and have a chat. 

Our juvenile members train Monday-Friday as indicated by the lead coach per age group. Under 11’s typically train once per week, with older age groups having at least two training sessions per week. 

In addition, we run a Fit for Life program on a Wednesday at 7.30 pm or Friday at 7:00 pm. (All details can be found on the Newbridge AC Fit for Life Facebook page). 

I’m looking to join a running club, what levels do you cater for?

The club caters for all levels – from those wanting to start running for the first time, to those wanting to renew their interest to those wanting to compete regularly in competition.  For those beginning we recommend the Couch to 5k program run in conjunction with Fit for Life All details can be found on the Newbridge AC Fit for Life Facebook page.  For those who are running more regularly we recommend coming down to the club on a Wednesday at 6:30 pm for senior training.

Do you have a Fit for Life (FFL) or Couch to 5k program running?

Yes we do! All details can be found on the Newbridge AC Fit for Life Facebook page. You don’t have to be a member of the club to participate in the FFL program. Just drop down on Wednesday at 7.30 pm or Friday at 7:00 pm. You can come and just sign in. The night begins with a good warm-up, program, cool down with stretching. Give it a go! All training is in a safe environment under lights. We ask that people park in school car park of St Conleth’s Community College please (W12 C432), as limited parking at club house is for FFL Leaders. The cost is just €2 a night. Just ask for Alan, Seamus or Tony.

How do I register to become a member?

  • Juvenile Membership – €40 per year 
  • Adult Membership – €75 per year 
  • Family Membership – €120 per year (2 adults and up to 2 children – €15 per each additional child) 
  • Retired Members – €20 per year 

Who has access to use the Newbridge Athletic Club track?

Registered members of the club may use the club track during designated training periods (Senior/Juveniles members).  Fit for Life groups may also use the track during designated training times (on a Wednesday at 19.30 or Friday at 19:00)
