Our underage athletes had a great start to 2020 today at the Co. Kildare Indoor T&F Championships in the fantastic AIT International Arena. We had a team of over 40 taking part from U11 to U17 with some outstanding performances throughout. Some athletes were competing at this level for the first time and they all did extremely well.
As a nice bonus, we managed to bag 22 medals in all – 4 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze.
U11 Boys:
Kyle Byrne-Ward 3rd 60m, 3rd long jump;
U12 Girls:
Eve Dowling 2nd 60m, 2nd 600m;
Relay team – Eabha, Rachel, Mia and Eve – 2nd
U12 Boys:
Ben Crampton – 1st in high jump, 3rd in shot put;
Donal Larkin – 3rd in 60m hurdles;
JP Archbold – 1st 60m hurdles, 3rd long jump;
Holden Murphy – 2nd in 600m, 3rd in 60m;
Relay – Cillian, JP, Ben, Holden – 2nd
U13 Boys:

Daniel Campbell 1st 600m, 2nd LJ and 2nd 60m
U13 Girls:
Siofra Drion 3rd Long Jump
Ruth Loughlin 3rd in 600m
U14 Boys:
Jack Moran – 3rd in Long Jump
U15 Girls:
Anna Kelly – 3rd in High Jump
U17 Boys:
Runo Ayavoro – 1st 60m
In the senior men, Vincent McCormack had good performances in both the 60m and 800m.
