The long Track + Field season ended with a Golden Halo and some great performances from our ten Athletes who had qualified in a cut throat competition at leinster level, to compete with the cream of upcoming stars in Irish Athletics at the National Finals In Tullamore. Only the best eight Athletes in Ireland progress through the heats and stood on the line for the finals, and the green singlet of the club caught the eye in the surge for the finish in six of the events. Day 2 Results

National Titles were hard to come by on Day 2, but it required a photo finish to decide the medals in two sprint events involving Newbridge Athletes. In the boys U/16 100m Luke Morris won silver with Kevin Kyne in 5th Spot, and Runo Ayavoro competing boys U/12 60m was also denied the gold on the line but captured a well deserved Silver. Meanwhile in the boys U/15 Javelin competition Jack McWey,  still not recovered from a injury that curtailed his training showed signs that he is on the way back with a throw of 43.25 and finished with the Bronze medal, Mark Freeman also showed good form to finish in the top ten in this event. a great achievement for the Boys + Girls to get to this level and with Athletes of this calibre the future of the Club looks bright. TRAINING. AS AND FROM THIS THURSDAY 31st JULY, WE WILL TAKE A BREAK FROM TRAINING FOR A FEW WEEKS, IF ATHLETES NEED TO TRAIN FOR COMMUNITY GAMES PLEASE  TALK TO COACHES.
